The Twilight Creeper may look more like a shrub than a pepper plant, but this unique ornamental variety bred by the USDA provides a nice contrast to your garden.

Grow these one-and-a-half-foot-tall compact pepper plants in your garden or containers. Plants mature earlier than other varieties and are dense with dark foliage and beautiful violet flowers. Twilight Creeper pods are very small, reaching 1/4" in length and changing colors from a blackish purple to a crimson red.

Not much has been said about whether these peppers are edible or not, let alone their flavors and heat levels. Nevertheless, we can assume that, like most ornamental peppers, these tiny pods are sure to pack some heat!
